HIV: Still Epidemic After 30 Years

It is possible that American success at reducing (though hardly eliminating) the spread of HIV has actually undermined awareness. While the number of new HIV infections per year is down to about 50,000 (from a high of 130,000), is it acceptable that 1.2 million people are living with HIV in America today?
